They grow up too fast!

This post makes me so sad. Kiley is finished with kindergarten. I am so proud of her. She is such a great student and a wonderful daughter. I feel like it was just the other day that I was crying because she was leaving for the first day of school. Kiley is my helper, my friend, always creating something, always watching over her little brothers, always making new friends, always making others feel right at home. She is my daughter, and I am so lucky!
PS - Here's a picture of the back of her hair. MaryAnn gave me the cutest website with all these fun hair ideas, so I tried one! She's adorable.

Beautiful Artwork

I love this picture, and I am is need of a great picture like this for my front room. I figured this contest is worth a shot. Check out this blog to enter this awesome giveaway opportunity, http://matageframing.blogspot.com/. Even if I don't get drawn, I love the picture on this blog of "When Did He Know?" It is definitely worth looking at. It was a great opportunity to think of Christ as a child. To look at the way Mary adores her little one, the way mothers do makes me want to cry. What great pieces of meaningful art.

End of year FuN!

The end of the school year is crazy. I feel like every other day is another event. So, here are a few of the things we've been up to.

1. Kiley had a kindergarten show, "Get Up and Grow," a couple of weeks ago. She makes such a great tulip, Haley and Kiley planned their flower together, and they were adorable. All of the kids did great. Kiley didn't even look nervous during her part.

2. A little late, I know, but I had a great Mother's Day. I can't believe I am showing this picture, but it was all I had. Chris and the kids made me breakfast in bed. I opened the coolest Crystal Light container vase I've ever seen, and some beautiful homemade cards. At church, the kids filled out these questionnaires about their mom. Ryan's was hilarious! He said that if he could get me anything for Mother's day it would be "a gold Transformer!" And, just about every other question had, "cornbread" for the answer! Apparently he was hungry.

3. The kids had their end-of-year gymnastics show. I pity his gymnastics teachers. He was crazy! He ran around the whole time literally bouncing off the walls. I don't know how they control all those boys.

4. Kiley was super cute in her show. She does a pretty good cartwheel. All I know, is there is no way I could do any of the things they attempt.

5. Ryan graduated from preschool! He looked adorable! I can't believe his first year is over. He learned a lot and made wonderful friends. Again, the teachers are my heroes! I have no idea how they handled this class of mostly boys. Each kid was given a certificate of recognition for something. He was given an award for being one of the three musketeers. I will post about this soon, but Ryan has two great friends, Clint and Josh, and they love playing together. Every morning of preschool Ryan would say he wasn't going unless they were there. They are such good boys. One day we will owe Dr. Scorse's first education to Clint and Josh for going to preschool.

Happy Birthday Ryan - May 5th

Ryan turned 4! He had a wonderful water party the Saturday before his birthday. We borrowed the Draper's water slide and it was a blast. The kids really enjoyed it. Thanks Ash!
On his birthday, we had our normal birthday breakfast. Later that evening, we went with two of his friend's families (The Drapers and The Mangums) to watch "Iron Man." The boys loved it and spent the rest of the night being Iron Man. Ryan had his cake and opened the rest of his presents and seemed to have a wonderful day!
Ryan is such a great kid. He makes me exhausted, but he is the sweetest kid ever. He loves to hug everyone and can't stand to let anyone be sad. He is a great son, a fantastic friend, an awesome grandson, and my favorite 4 year old boy!

Happy Birthday Deano - April 29th

Deano had a great first birthday. His party was semi-canceled because of the chicken pox scare. Fortunately, a few friends still came to celebrate in this great day. It feels like I have waited so long for him to be a year old, and I am so glad it is finally here. I am thankful for his health and how far he's come. He is so much fun! Bryson is walking everywhere, making messes constantly, giving lots of hugs and kisses, making sure Kiley and Ryan don't get too much attention, saying several words, and just staying busy being oh so cute!

Scorpions are not my friends!

A couple of weeks ago I saw a baby scorpion run across Ryan's foot! I killed it, freaked out all day, had Chris spray, and prayed we woldn't see anymore. This afternoon after church, Bryson was sitting in the floor, Chris picked him up and they walked out of the room. I walked right where Bryson had been sitting and got stung by a scorpion! I was so thankful for Heavenly Father showing me the scorpion was there before one of my kids got really hurt. I am so paranoid. I am going to put Bryson's crib legs in glasses of water which I read would help, but I am truly scared of these little visitors around my children especially Bryson. We get sprayed reguarly, but I'm wondering if any of you have any advice? Between this and the gila monster we found on Thursday, I am starting to get really nervous.
